H.C. Brill Company, Inc., a CSM Company, has a 125-year history of manufacturing the finest premium baking ingredients in the industry. With our headquarters and two production facilities in Tucker, Georgia, and four additional manufacturing facilities across the country, we ship to, and service, more than 25 countries. Brands in the H.C. Brill family include Brill, Karp’s, Orth, Henry & Henry and Murray’s. Brill, a leading name in the bakery industry for more than 80 years, was founded in Chicago by Harry Brill. Launching Brill’s first ready-to-use icing in 1978, Brill provides quality icings and glazes to in-story bakery and foodservice customers nationwide. The latest addition of frozen ready-to-use cakes and cake layers are an example of the innovative solutions that make Brill a number-one choice of bakery customers. In 1914, Austrian immigrant Louis Karp founded Karp’s in Chicago offering ingredients to the bakery and confectionery industries. Karp’s has been an innovative leader in the bakery ingredient business since the introduction of their signature Scoop-N-Bake® Muffin Batters. Karp’s continues to provide quality in a convenient format with Pan-N-Bake breakfast rolls along with a full line of cookie dough pucks. The Orth brand has been a fixture in baking since it was founded on the Bark River in Sullivan, Wisconsin, by 37-year-old German immigrant Phillip Orth in 1892. Orth bakery mixes and full line of Thaw-N-Bake® rolls, focaccia and flat breads continue to lead the industry. Brothers Charles and Frederick Henry founded Henry & Henry, one of the leading manufacturers of quality fruit and crème fillings, icings, glazes and other specialty products for the baking industry in North America, in 1899. Originally headquartered in Buffalo, New York, Henry & Henry is also a major supplier to the ice cream industry producing quality fudges, syrups, variegates and ice cream bases. H.C. Brill is a CSM company, a global bakery supplies & food ingredients company. CSM is the largest supplier of bakery products worldwide and is global market leader in lactic acid and lactic acid derivatives. CSM acquired Henry & Henry in 1994, Orth in 1996 and Karp’s in 1997. In 1999, CSM consolidated Karp’s and Orth into a company called Baker & Baker. Henry & Henry also consolidated into Baker & Baker in 2002. CSM did not acquire H.C. Brill until 2003 and soon after, in 2005, all of the brands under Baker & Baker merged into H.C. Brill making up the family of brands under H.C. Brill today.
