In 1914, an Austrian immigrant named Louis Karp founds Karp’s in Chicago, Illinois. CSM acquired Karp's in 1997 and consolidated the company, along with Orth, into Baker and Baker. Baker and Baker was later merged with Henry & Henry and eventually H.C. Brill in 2005.
